Graham Jarvis, a legendary figure in the world of extreme enduro, visited Armenia on June 15 and 16, 2024, for an event organized by NMFA and Maat&Co. Known as one of the greatest enduro riders of all time, Jarvis boasts an illustrious career with multiple victories in prestigious competitions such as the Red Bull Romaniacs, Erzberg Rodeo, Sea to Sky, and Hixpania. His visit was part of his global Jarvis Signature Tours, designed to promote the sport, mentor aspiring riders, and inspire new generations.
The event kicked off with a spectacular show by Jarvis right in front of the Maat&Co store. Crowds of fans and enduro enthusiasts gathered to watch as Jarvis displayed his incredible skills and signature maneuvers, leaving the audience in awe. This exciting performance set the stage for what was to come. After the demonstration, Jarvis, along with his team and local Armenian riders, headed to the hills to showcase their expertise on the challenging terrain. The sessions allowed riders to learn firsthand from Jarvis while testing their limits alongside the world’s best.
Jarvis was deeply impressed by Armenia’s natural beauty, calling the country a “hidden gem” for enduro sports. He noted that Armenia’s diverse and rugged landscapes offer perfect conditions for the sport and expressed optimism about the potential for growing a strong local enduro community. His visit aimed to inspire Armenian riders and spark greater interest in extreme enduro in the region.
Accompanying Jarvis was Daryoush Ghorbani, one of his most accomplished students. Ghorbani, a decorated rider with numerous victories in international competitions, demonstrated his own remarkable skills alongside his mentor. Notably, Ghorbani will serve as an instructor for the Jarvis Signature Tour in Armenia, ensuring that the knowledge and techniques shared during this visit continue to benefit the local community.
The event was a milestone for enduro sports in Armenia, blending thrilling demonstrations with invaluable training.
